The planning problem
Content planning can become scattered across documents, lists, calendars and project notes. Ideas, status, campaign context and repeated work are easy to lose when the planning process has no dedicated home.
Content Planning Workspace was built as an internal desktop planning tool to give that work a clearer structure.
What was built
The tool has a working version-one implementation and is used internally by Robert. It uses a local SQLite database and supports organising content planning information and workflow.
The important boundary is that it is a planning workspace. It does not directly publish content and should not be described as a complete CMS or social publishing system.
Design decisions
A local workspace made sense because the problem was not simply writing more content. It was organising ideas, planning context, status and repeated tasks in a way that could be reviewed and acted on.
Separating planning from publishing keeps the tool focused and avoids pretending that content operations can be reduced to automatic output.
Current status
Version one is built and used internally. No collaboration features, CMS integration, direct social publishing, automatic article generation or quantified time savings are claimed.
